After a massive community campaign, we're excited to officially launch the Electrify 2515 Community Pilot! 2515 locals are invited to join us to hear more about our plan for the electric future and learn how you can get involved.

About the launch event

Set in beautiful Anita's Theatre, you will:

  • Hear from guest speakers from Rewiring Australia, including co-founder Dr Saul Griffith, as well as pilot partners Brighte and Endeavour Energy and Electrify 2515 team members.

  • Understand the importance of this groundbreaking research and how our community will be supporting Australia's shift to a smart, electric future.

  • Hear how the pilot will work including timing, appliance subsidies, participant eligibility and responsibilities.

  • Have some questions answered and hear how you can get more information going forward.

  • Be a crucial part in an inspiring community who are collectively taking positive action!

About the pilot

The Electrify 2515 Community Pilot aims to create the electric future in a real community today.

This innovative research project will empower a community create efficient, electric homes. Initiated by a group of passionate locals in the 2515 postcode area and driven by Rewiring Australia, Brighte, and Endeavour Energy, householders will be offered subsidies, support and technology to help reduce their emissions and energy bills.

By studying the installation journey closely, and gathering energy data and feedback, the pilot will provide critical research to accelerate Australia's transition to a smart, electric future. The insights gained will be crucial in shaping policies and practices for a smart and efficient energy system nationwide. More information: 

FAQs

Will the event be recorded or be live-streamed? 
The event won't be live-streamed, but it will be recorded and available to watch on the Electrify 2515 YouTube channel following the launch.

I live out of area, can I still come? 
As seating is limited, we respectfully ask for people who reside in 2515 or 2516 to attend only (the recording can be watched by anyone).

I'm a renter/strata dweller/pensioner etc, is this pilot for me? 
Yes! There will be positions in the pilot for households who make a up a diversity of housing and demographic types including renters, strata and low-income homes - so come and find out more!

Do I have to attend the launch to participate in the pilot? 
No. This is a chance to learn more about the pilot but there will be other opportunities to find out more including drop-in sessions and online workshops.
