The Electrify 2515 Community Pilot will offer subsidies and support to 500 households to upgrade to electric appliances; ready for the shift to a smart, electric future.

This visionary project is an initiative of 2515 locals being driven by Rewiring Australia, Brighte, and Endeavour Energy, with funding from ARENA. Together, we’re working to show what’s possible—and build the case for supporting every Australian home to electrify.

How it works

Community

500 homes connected to the local energy grid will opt to switch out gas for electric appliances.
Appliances

Participants get subsidies to install electric hot water systems, air conditioners, cooktops, and batteries.
Smart energy device

Participants get a fully subsidised smart energy device to track and optimise household energy use.
Research

Data from the project is collected and analysed to accelerate nationwide household electrification.

Our local electrical distribution network operator, Endeavour Energy will install network monitors and assess and support network impacts. This includes understanding how energy loads can be managed and generating insights.
